Queer Poetry for Dog Days: Poets Tyler Allen Penny & Bruce E. Whitacre, with guest poet Leah Umansky In-Person
Celebrate Whitacre’s new book, Good Housekeeping, with a reading and author discussion. This event will also include readings by Hamptons poet Tyler Allen Penny and Leah Umansky. Bruce’s previous book, The Elk in the Glade won second place in The BookFest 2023 in contemporary poetry. Tyler Allen has just completed a residency at the Peter Bullough Foundation. His poems have been published in several well-known journals. Leah Umansky is the author of three poetry collections, most recently, OF TYRANT (Word Works Books 2024.) Her creative work can be found in The New York Times, The Academy of American Poets’ Poem-A Day, USA Today, POETRY, and American Poetry Review. Books will be available for purchase and inscription.
